Something's suddenly unclear
Someone's suddenly my fear
My eyes demand like broken eaves
The ladle overspills on eaves

If you once knew
How I loved you

And my bruise-colored eyes peal
Every image to your face and heel
And if you're happy, I am too
And if you're sleeping, I'm with you

But you love someone else
But you want to be with someone else
And I can't believe how dumb I sound
And I will put my face over the ground
And love you

Shed no tear--O shed no tear!
The flower will bloom another year.
Weep no more--O weep no more!
Young buds sleep in the root's white core.
Dry your eyes--O dry your eyes,
For I was taught in Paradise
To ease my breast of melodies--
Shed no tear.

Overhead--look overhead
'Mong the blossoms white and red--
Look up, look up--I flutter now
On this flush pomegranate bough--
See me--'tis this silvery bill
Ever cures the good man's ill--
Shed no tear--O shed no tear!
The flower will bloom another year.
Adieu--Adieu--I fly, adieu,
I vanish in the heaven's blue--
Adieu, Adieu

John Keats
Something I found on Facebook: answer the questions with the song title while the music is on shuffle. I thought it was fun, so I did it.

Christmas Caroling

With the Christmas season fast approaching, something that happened yesterday has been on my mind. A group of women from the UK Women's Choir and I went to the UK Children's Hospital for some caroling. While there, we saw many beautiful children who will most likely be spending their holidays in their rooms. One young man, probably 16 or 17, stood out to me. He was talking with his family members, but once every so often, he would sneak a peek at us and smile. It was in his corner of the hospital that we got a door slammed on us. We are a decent choir. We didn't sound bad. This lady just slammed the door. Did her small child ask her do to this? Or was it just this lady being a jerk? We may not ever know the answer. But we were just trying to bring joy to these people, in a time that they may not know joy. However, this one lady did not damper the entire day. Even the smiles of the one boy in the same corner outweighed the rude actions of this lady. And the trip to the hospital, though it was pouring and my clothes dripped in puddles, was the highlight of my day.
